Doula Care
Birth Doula
Doula originates from a Greek word meaning "woman who serves", and a doula acts as a (usually female) non-medical labor and birth attendant. I like to think of a doula as "your best friend outside the family for labor and birth". Please don't be shy to contact me and set up an interview to chat more about the scope of my services.
Postpartum Doula
A postpartum doula's role is like no other; she offers nurturance and support for the new family. Her job is unique in that she is working towards not being needed anymore! A postpartum doula provides guidance, information, basic breastfeeding support, and assistance in light household tasks during the first weeks or months postpartum.
As a postpartum doula, I nurture the family by listening to your needs, and then assessing how best to help you with what fits in your unique situation. Each family is different, so each household has different needs. I will help you in the way that best serves you, whether hours in a day or overnight so you can get some much needed rest, we can work with your schedule to formulate a plan that suits your particular postpartum situation.

About Me
My experiential doula practice began on a volunteer basis and has since resulted in my serving attendancy at dozens of births. I love what I do! And am excited to serve in this capacity, not only watching babies be born, but also watching mothers and birth companions being born as parents. For me, being "born" as a doula is a beautiful growth process that continues to unfold with each passing birth story. It is an honor to take part in the beautiful process of the Birth Experience.
